OBITUARY OF ELECK PETERSON

Funeral services for Eleck Peterson, were held Wednesday, December 2, 1964 at the Calvary Methodist Church in Stratford with the Rev. Walter Phelps in charge.
Mrs. Harold Westrum sang, "Beyond the Sunset" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" accompanied by Mrs. Cleo Bell.
Pallbearers were, Leonard Angstrom, Martin Westrum, William Dutcher, Roy Bergman, and Guy Scott.
Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Martin Westrum and Mrs. Clifford Neese.
Burial was in the South Marion Cemetery with the Hanson Funeral home in charge.
Eleck Richard Peterson, was the son of Peter and Ella Peterson. Born November 7, 1890 on a farm northeast of Stratford and passed away after a lingering illness at the Runn Custodial Home, November 30, 1964, at the age of 74 years and 23 days.
In his infancy he was baptized in the South Marion Methodist Church and received his education in the rural schools near his home. He made his home with his parents on the family farm until their passing, then resided with a brother, later entering the Nursing Home at Jewell, Iowa. In 1959 he was moved to the Runn Custodial Home in Stratford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and six brothers.
Those surviving are one niece, Mabel Kail, Hayward, California, and six nephews, Weldon, Delbert, Denzel and Marvin Peterson of Stratford, Donald Peterson of Algona, and Verne Peterson of Wathena, Kansas.
