Anna Louise Gabrielson was born in Sweden, Nov. 12, 1851. She came to America in the spring of 1890 and has lived in the vicinity of Stratford ever since.

She was united in marriage to Samuel Peterson October 21, 1890 and to them two daughters were born, one of whom preceded the mother several years ago in death. The other daughter is Mrs. James Coulter, who lives northeast of town, the only survivor and with whom she had been making her home.

Deceased had not been in rugged health for some time and recently contracted an illness from which she could not rally and went to her Heavenly home Wednesday morning of last week, Feb. 10, 1925 [1926], having attained the age of 74 years, 2 months, 18 days.

She was confirmed in the Christian faith in Sweden and after coming to this community united with the South Marion Methodist Church.

Since the death of her husband many years ago, deceased had lived only for her two daughters, to guard them against the trials and tribulations of this life, and to provide for them a good home. The death of her youngest daughter, Esther, a number of years ago, left her saddened and bereft for several years. She was a quiet lady, her wants were few and she lived in the worship of her God. And she went to join her beloved ones with a true Christian's courage.

Funeral services were held Friday from the local M.E. Church conducted by Rev. C.H. Flesher. Interment was made in the South Marion Cemetery.
