OLIVER LINN FOUND DEAD IN CHICKENHOUSE
Stratford Farmer Had Been Ill; Attempting to Do Chores.
STRATFORD, Iowa, Jan. 6 - Oliver Linn, 64, was found dead in the chickenhouse at his farm, four miles south of here, at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, death apparently being caused by a heart attack.
Mr. and Mrs. Linn had both been ill at their home with influenza for the past several days, Mrs. Linn being bedfast.
Mr. Linn, feeling that someone should see about the farm work, left the house about 11 a.m. and when he failed to return his wife got out of bed and called a neighbor, Fred Olson, asking him to see what was wrong.
Olson found Linn's body in the chickenhouse. He had apparently been dead for some time, but the body was not frozen, in spite of the intense cold.
Funeral services are pending.
Besides his wife, Linn leaves one daughter, Mrs. Tom Williams, in Illinois, and his sister, Mrs. Noble Fry, of Stratford.
Linn was widely known in the Stratford community. He had lived there most of his life and owned the farm on which he lived.
[married to Lillian Lundberg]
