DIED - Monday afternoon at the residence of Hon. Augustus Anderson, Miss Ellen Larson. Ellen has been a long and patient sufferer of that dreadful disease, consumption. Her sisters, Mrs. Hulda Schumaker of Pomeroy and Mrs. Hulda Brown of Madrid, were with her at the time of her death and all that loving hands could do, was done to relieve her sufferings. She was buried yesterday afternoon. Obituary next week.

OBITUARY

Miss Ellen Larson was born in Sweden, March 3, 1868 and came to America, in company with her parents, when she was two years old. A few years later her mother died, and the motherless children got homes at different places and Ellen got a home at Augustus Anderson's. There she ended her days in peace, after a sickness of over two years during which time she was well cared for.

She died August 7, 1899 at the age of 31 years, 5 months and 4 days.

She is mourned by four sisters, one brother and a hostess of friends.

The funeral services took place at the Swedish M.E. Church, Wednesday, August 9, at 2 o'clock.

Rev. Hugo Alm conducted the funeral services, choosing for his text John, 11:28.
