Stratford people were greeted with the sad news early Tuesday morning that Miss Anna Johnson had passed to the great beyond. While it was well known that she was ill and had been for a long time it was not thought that the end would come so soon as it did. Monday night she became unconscious and only regained consciousness once before she died.

Anna Marie Johnson was born in the house in which she breathed her last on November 3, 1884 and on the day of her death was 20 years, 3 months and 18 days old. She had lived in Stratford all her life.

Always kind and considerate and possessed of a sweet and docile disposition she had a large circle of friends wherever she was known. She leaves to mourn her early taking off a father, two sisters and a brother, her mother having preceded her about eighteen months ago.

The God in his infinite wisdom plucks from the earth the fairest of flowers that they may go home to Him, there to stand with the redeemed. Angel voices join in one grand chorus in rejoicing that another soul has gone to God, and while a place is left empty in the home here which testifies to the tears of her loved ones, she rests secure "Safe in the arms of Jesus," beckoning for those she has left behind on earth to join her and her mother there.

The funeral services will be held from the house today at 12:30 and from the M.E. church at 1 o'clock.
