Mike Fuhs, 54, of Webster City, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Van Diest Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, with a 2:00 p.m. Scripture Service. Michael's body was donated to Des Moines University for medical research.

Michael Thomas Fuhs was born on August, 2, 1962 in Dekalb, IL., the son of Thomas and Shirley Stout Fuhs. He graduated high school in Boys Town, Nebraska and completed the Welding and Semi-Truck Driving programs at Iowa Central Community College. Michael was employed in Louisiana as a deep sea welder for various oil companies for 18 years. After he moved back to Webster City in 2014 he was employed as a truck driver until he was retired due to health problems. He had been residing in Southfield Wellness Community since March.

Mike is survived by his son, Erik of Houston, TX; parents, Thomas and Shirley Fuhs of Webster City; siblings, Paula (Tom) Scott of Stanhope, Mark Fuhs of Webster City, Joanne Fuhs of Webster City, Carla Fuhs of Ankeny, Jon Fuhs of Des Moines, Carrie (Clint) Olson of Webster City; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Burl and Hazel Stout; Hubert and Margaret Fuhs.

Mike was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
