Albert McKenzie, 81, Fort Dodge, a former Webster City resident, died Saturday, January 23, 1999 at Trinity Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral Home, with Rev. John Grebner officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #191.

Albert George McKenzie, son of William and Irene Karpf McKenzie, was born July 7, 1917 at Jackson, MI. He attended school in Oscela, IN. He served with the US Army during WWII, in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater of Action. On June 29, 1946 he married Marjorie Fulp at Mishawka, IN. The couple resided at South Bend, IN. In 1950, they moved to Webster City. He was employed at Frigidaire for 33 years, retiring in 1981. Mrs. McKenzie died on Feb. 25, 1990. He had resided at Expo Health Center for the past five years.

Survivors are his sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Linda McKenzie of Webster City, Ron and Chris McKenzie of Stanhope, daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Dale Thompson of Fort Dodge, Connie and Doug Coons of Webster City, grandchildren Christopher Thompson, Jana Pamperin, Lisa and Beth Coons, great-grandchildren Nicholas and Emily Thompson; brother Bill McKenzie of Wilson, OK., sisters Ellen Monroe of Grass Lake, MI., Frances Timothy of Wallingford, CT, Mary Fears of Wilson, OK., nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #191 and a former U.A.W. member.
