Westman

Our community was pained to hear of the death of Jonas Westman at his home east of town, Saturday evening, about 6 o'clock. Mr. Westman had been sick about a year.

Jonas Westman was born in Bjuråkers Larken, Hälsingland, Sweden, July 9, 1837. In 1863 he was married to Gertie Peterson and in 1868, he with his family, came to America. He died October 13, 1900 and was 63 years, 4 months, and 4 days old at the time of his death. He leaves a wife, a son, and two daughters to mourn his demise.

Mr. Westman was one of the pioneer settlers in this section. The sorrowing relatives have the sympathy of a host of friends in their bereavement.
