OBITUARY

Mrs. Ella Vedeen died at her home east of Stratford, on Thursday, Feb. 13, 1896, at the age of 69 years, 4 months, and one day.

Deceased was born in Ovanåker, Hälsingland, Sweden, Oct. 12, 1826. In 1849 she was married to Jonas Vedeen and immigrated to America in 1867. To them eight children were born. Of these two sons and one daughter died in Sweden, while the youngest daughter, Anna Sophia, died last November.

The husband, two sons, two daughters, two aged brothers together with many friends are left to mourn her departure.

The day before her death she worked as usual in good health and went to bed at night to never again awaken in this world.

Her remains were laid to rest Sunday, followed by a large gathering of friends and neighbors, who came to see, for the last time, one whom they all had learned to love.
