HENRY DIXON WAS FOUND DEAD NEAR HIS HOME TUESDAY

Henry Dixon, a lifelong resident of this community, was found lying dead on the sidewalk in front of his home in the southeast part of town about 11 o'clock Tuesday forenoon. It was evident that he was a victim of a heart attack as it was known that he had suffered several severe attacks and that his death occurred as he was engaged in removing the snow from the sidewalk. His lifeless body was found by Dennis Iles and Chester Carlson as they were delivering milk on Mr. Iles' route.

Mr. Dixon was 62 years old and leaves to mourn his death, one brother, Albert, and a few cousins. Definite funeral arrangements have not been made as yet but may be held Friday. Miller's in charge.

Obituary
Henry Dixon

Henry Dixon was born in Marion township, Hamilton county, Sept. 9, 1874, and died in his home here Feb. 4, 1936, at the age of 62 years, 4 months, 26 days.

The last year he had been in poor health, being afflicted with heart trouble which was the cause of his death. He attended rural schools and had spent his entire life in this community with the exception of the year, 1911, when he was in Argentine. He was industrious and kind, making many friends all of whom will miss him.

He leaves one brother, Albert, to mourn his death, other relatives and a host of friends. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans [Mary Anderson] Dixon, two sisters, Christina and Mary, and one brother, have preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted in the Miller funeral parlors here Friday afternoon and were in charge of the Rev. A.E. Appelquist, pastor of the Baptist church. Interment was made on the family lot in the South Marion cemetery.
