October 5, 1988Herman Carlstedt, 84, a resident of the Stratford Care Center, died Sunday, October 2, 1988 at the Hamilton County Hospital.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Stratford Calvary United Methodist Church with the Rev. Willis Grant officiating. Burial was in South Marion Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 6, 1903, at Stanhope, to John and Jenny Hanson Carlstedt.
In February of 1927 he married Ruby Shoberg at Stratford. He farmed in the Stratford area until retiring in 1975.
Survivors include three daughters, Delores (Mrs. Dale) Mann of Tucson, Ariz., Nadine Olsen of Stratford and Avis (Mrs. Dean) Carlson of Stanhope; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one brother, Clifford Carlstedt, of Stratford.
He was preceded in death by his wife (in 1965), one grandson, one granddaughter, one son, five sisters and one brother.
He was a member of the Stratford Calvary United Methodist Church.
