C.J. CARLSTEDT, AGE 86, DIES AT DAUGHTER'S HOME

STRATFORD, Iowa, Feb. 17 - Funeral services were held today for C.J. Carlstedt, 86, who died Tuesday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Anderson.

The services were at 1:15 o'clock at the Anderson home and at 2 o'clock at the Stratford Lutheran church, with the Rev. Erickson officiating; burial in South Marion cemetery.

Mr. Carlstedt had been ill for many weeks. Death was caused by cancer. His wife [Jennie Hanson] died in 1931. He is survived by seven children.

Mr. Carlstedt was a retired farmer. He was born in Sweden and came to the United States in 1878, settling in the Stratford community. He farmed until 1921 when he moved into Stratford where he had since lived.
