STRATFORD - Naomi J. Ringer, 79, formerly of Stratford, died Friday, Oct. 9, 1998 at the Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, CA. A private committal service with Rev. David Fernlund officiating and interment at Oakwood Cemetery north of Stratford will be held at a later date. Stark-Welin Funeral Directors in Stratford were in charge of the arrangements.

Naomi J. Johnson was born March 3, 1919 at the family homestead northeast of Stratford, the daughter of Julius and Agnes Bergman Johnson. She attended grade school at the Crane Country School and graduated from Stratford High School in 1936. On October 4, 1946 she married John L. Ringer at Des Moines. The couple moved to California in 1951 where she worked for McDonnell Douglas Aircraft until her retirement in 1978.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1976 and one nephew, William Coulter.

Survivors are one sister and brother-in-law, LaVonne and Dean Coulter of Stratford, one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Molly Dee Johnson of Sheldon, IL; nieces and nephews.
