Everett A. Crystal, 95, Webster City, died May 4, 2000 at the Clarion Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held Monday at the Church of Christ at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in the Cass Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Sunday and at the church after 9 a.m. Monday.

Everett Adelbert Crystal, son of Tom and Marietta Settle Crystal, was born July 23, 1904 at Missouri. He received his education in rural schools in Missouri. In 1923, he moved to Iowa and worked for farmers in the Webster City/Williams area. On Oct. 3, 1925 he married Bertha Lee Elkin in Des Moines. The couple started farming near Blairsburg and Williams and for 47 years farmed north of Webster City. They moved to Webster City in 1986. Mrs. Crystal died in March of 1996. He had resided at the Clarion Health Care Center for 18 months.

Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law Viola and Harry Barrick, Evelyn and Dean Simpson, Georgianna and Gary Gourley, Jean and Jon Kayser, all of Webster City, Mary and Marvin Boicourt, Bella Vista, Ark., Elizabeth and Royal Norman of Cedar Rapids, Dorothy and Alfred Buchner of Arnolds Park, sons and daughters-in-law, Bud and Carol Crystal of Webster City, Bill and Diane Crystal of Stratford, 35 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, a brother Ammon Bill Crystal of Clarion, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law, Estle Short, two grandsons and three great-grandchildren, sisters Hattie Webber, Olive Webber, Anna Eckman and Georgia Davis.

Mr. Crystal was a member of Church of Christ, Woolstock Cooperative Elevator Board member for several years and also served on the Cass Township #8 School Board member for several years, Cass Light Association Board and Cass Township Trustee.

Memorials may be given to Meals on Wheels, Wright County Hospice/Respite and Webster City Congregate Meals.
