Cora Weir Riles, 89, Webster City, died Thursday, April 6, 2000 at the Crestview Manor Care Center. Funeral services were held Monday at the Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Davenport officiating. Burial was in the Graceland Cemetery.

Cora Adelaide Huddleston, daughter of Shad and Bessie McConnell Huddleston, was born Feb. 17, 1922 on a farm southwest of Webster City. She received her education in the Webster City school system and attended the Webster City Junior College for two years. On Oct. 16, 1932 she married Nobel Weir. The couple farmed northeast of Webster City. They retired in 1974. Mr. Weir died July 8, 1976. On June 2, 1984, she married Lowell Riles at Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City, then moved to Buffalo, MO. in 1989. She moved to Crestview in February of 1999. She was a homemaker.

Survivors are her husband, Lowell; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Orval Rasmussen, Webster City, Lanita and Eldon Hinderks of Woolstock, grandchildren Bruce and Craig Hinderks, Susan Dowgiert and Judy Young; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, sister Eleanor Bradshaw, brothers Robert, Richard and Frank Huddleston.

She attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Webster City and the Missionary Alliance Church in Blairsburg. She was a member of the WCTU.
