Guy Leland Batcheller, 74, Easton, MO., a former Webster City resident, died April 23, 1999 at the Veteran's Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. His ashes will be interred at Ft. Leavenworth National Military Cemetery at a later time.

Guy Leland Batcheller was born on Nov. 18, 1924 in Wright County near Woolstock. He was the son of Guy William and Georgia Mae Worthan Batcheller. In 1928, the family moved to Webster City where Leland lived until 1947. He married Nina Heidick of Webster City in 1943. He was a WW II Veteran having served in Burma and India while in the Army from 1943-1946. In 1947, he moved his family to Denver and held various jobs there until his retirement in 1984. He then moved to Ava, MO., where he lived for a few years before moving to Easton, MO.

Survivors are his wife, Nina, four children and sons and daughter-in-law, Vicky Lee and Leo Macrander of Easton, MO., Guy William Batcheller of Denver, CO., Clinton Duane and Effie Mae Batcheller of Robinson, IL., and Rada Rae and Philip Romero of Denver; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Nancy Batcheller of Bellingham, WA., Verne and Anna Lou Batcheller, Webster City, Merlyn and Audrey Batcheller of Littleton, CO., and one sister, Bertha Irene Grady of Webster City; 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Alberta Pappas, and two brothers, Glenn Batcheller and Kenneth Batcheller.
