Agnes Hanson, 95, Story City, died Sunday, April 25, 1999 at Bethany Manor in Story City where she had resided. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City with Chaplain Sandy Anenson officiating. Burial of the cremains will take place in July at Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell.

Agnes Hanson, daughter of Adolph and Clara Paulson Hanson, was born March 14, 1904 in Centerville, SD. She attended university at Vermillion, SD, and received her master's degree from Southern California. She taught English and Latin in public schools in various locations. She retired in California and moved to Iowa to be near her sister. She lived in Ames at the Regency Apartments before moving to Bethany Manor in Story City.

Survivors are her sister, Florence Thompson of Jewell and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
