Emma Isvik, 96,, Williams died Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Williams with Rev. Stanley Peterson officiating and with burial in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Surls Funeral Home.

Emma M. Guhl, the daughter of Albert and Anna Wilson Guhl, was born at Vincent on Jan. 19, 1903. She attended school at Jewell and Waldorf Academy in Forest City. She married Lawrence Isvik on Feb. 3, 1929 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. She was a homemaker and was known for her beautiful and unique cakes she made and decorated.

Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Jula Isvik of Hewitt, MN., Gerald and Lois Isvik of Lakeville, MN., two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Don Williams of Williams, Marilyn and Chuck Stovner of Cokato, MN., 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Alma Thorsbakken, Lillian Guhl and Mildred Heggen of Story City, and a brother, Albert Guhl, Jewell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lawrence in 1989, three brothers, Otto, Clarence and George Guhl, one grandson Perry Williams and a great-grandson Caleb Williams.
