Billie Dean Ades, 66, Decatur, AL., a former Webster City resident, died Feb. 6, 1998 [this is what the obituary says but he died in 1999] in Decatur. The body was cremated and memorial graveside services were held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone with Rev. Dean Fullerton officiating. Military honors were conducted by the Boone Veteran's Council.

Billie Dean Ades, the son of Francis and Rose Elsberry Ades, was born in Webster City on Jan. 8, 1933. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1950 and then served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He also served with the National Guard in Kansas. He married Mary Ann Birdsell in Newkirk, OK on August 8, 1974. For 42 years, he was employed with Beech Aircraft Corp. where he was an engineering and experimental supervisor. He retired in 1995. He was a member of the VFW # 971 and American Legion of Newton, KS.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Ann and mother Rosie Mae, both of Decatur, AL., stepmother Elva Ades, Newton, KS, step-son, Keith Birdsell of Columbia, SC., two step daughters, Kathy Sabastiano, Delray Beach, FL., and Debbie Able, Lawton, OK., two step-brothers, Harry Wolfe and Eddy Wolfe, Newton; two sisters, Kay Hooker of Hanford, CA and Pat House, Vallejo, CA.; a granddaughter, Kandi Birdsell.
