Kacie Woodle, 12, Stratford

Kacie Woodle, 12, Stratford, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 1998 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines, due to complications from injuries suffered in an automobile accident on June 15. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the South Marion United Methodist Church in Stratford, with Revs. Dale Schoening and Kenneth Hartman officiating. Interment will be in South Marion Cemetery in rural Stratford. Friends may call at the Calvary United Methodist Church in Stratford on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., with family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday morning at the Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Stratford from 10 a.m. to noon, when the casket will be taken to the South Marion United Methodist Church, where visitations will continue until the time of the service.

Kacie Woodle, daughter of Norman and Collette (Williams) Woodle, was born Oct. 16, 1985 in Ames. She would have been a seventh grade student this fall at Webster City Middle School. She enjoyed playing basketball and softball. This summer she participated in softball as a member of the Life Investors team in Webster City, and the local Stratford gurls softball team, where she played outfield.

She is survived by her parents; one sister, Dana Woodle and one brother, Zane Woodle, both at home in Stratford; grandparents, Helen and Wilbur Woodle, Lehigh, and Karen and LeRoy Williams, Stratford; two great-grandfathers, Kenneth Carlson, Stratford, and Robert Williams, Adel; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents.
