STRATFORD - Mrs. Ica Cora Westrum, 92, died Monday morning, June 28, at East Lane Manor, Jewell, where she had been a resident since Sept. 1, 1968.

Services were held Thursday, July 1, at the Stratford Calvary United Methodist church, with the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial was in the South Marion cemetery, with the Hanson-Stark-Welin funeral home of Stratford in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Martin and Eldon of Stratford; two daughters, Mrs. Chester (Ruby) Erickson of Birmingham, Michigan, Mrs. Howard (Alberta) Ewing of Cedar Rapids, 24 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Westrum was born June 28, 1879 in Stratford, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Van Buren [Lois May Eads] Neese. On July 19, 1899 she married Jonas O. Westrum in Webster City. She was a member of the Stratford Calvary United Methodist church and also church organizations. Mrs. Westrum was also a member of the OAY Birthday club.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Pearl and Opal, one son, Harold, her parents, five brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Marvin Johnson was organist and Mrs. Dalton Fisher, soloist. Pallbearers were Richard Campbell, Tim Westrum, Gerald Westrum, Noel Westrum, Eugene Westrum and Vincel Crim.
