STRATFORD - Jonas "Joe" Westrum, 48, Port O'Connor, Texas, died at his home Thursday, Sept. 27. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. at the Stratford Calvary United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery, south of Stratford. Visitation at the Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Stratford is from 5-8 p.m. today and Tuesday at the church until service time.

Jonas Westrum, son of Eldon and Ethel (Brown) Westrum was born Oct. 14, 1941 in Webster City. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.

He is survived by his mother, Ethel Westrum, Polk City; a daughter, Debbie, Houston, Texas; four sons, Mike, Eldon and Tom Westrum, all of Houston, and Joe Westrum, Columbia, S.C.; three grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy Smith, Polk City; Mary Jane Delevan [spelled Delavan in another family members obit], Cedar Park, Texas; and Ramona Campbell, Des Moines.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Westrum was a member of the American Legion.
