Rose Westling Dies At Burt; Funeral Today

BURT - Final rites for a longtime Kossuth county resident, Mrs. Rose Westling, 79, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29 at Garry Funeral Chapel, Bancroft.
Rev. Willjam Noland of the Algona Methodist church will officiate. Burial will be at South Marion Cemetery near Stratford.

Pallbearers are Valgene Westling, Donald Westling, Vern Shipler, Walter Ruger, Elmer Kubly and Ralph Stoll.

Mrs. Westling died Monday at 6:15 at the home of Mrs. Helen Johnson of uremia poisoning. She was born Oct. 21, 1888 at Stratford, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. O. [Carl Oscar & Emma Lovisa Forsberg] Isaacson. She married Otto Westling Dec. 25, 1912 at Stratford. He died July 28, 1958.

She and her husband farmed near LuVerne until 1944 when they retired to Algona. The past year she had made her home with Mrs. Helen Johnson, Burt.

She is survived by one son, Raymond Westling, Burt; one brother, Arthur Isaacson, Stratford; one sister, Mrs. Justin Anderson, Lebanon, Mo.; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Eldon; and a daughter, LaVerla.

She was a member of the Algona Methodist Church and a long-time member of Eastern Star.
