June (Widman) Ulrick, 91, passed away on Thursday, November 10, in Stratford, Iowa. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, November 16, at the Stratford Lutheran Church in Stratford from 9:30 – 11:00 AM followed immediately with a service at 11:00 AM in the church. The family has chosen Boman Funeral Home (www.Bomanfh.com), Webster City to care for their needs.

June was born on July 11, 1925, near Webster City to Carl & Amanda (Heiden) Widman. She received her schooling at a country school (Cass #3), and graduated from Webster City High School in 1944. June worked for the Bell Telephone Company in Webster City. She married LaVern Ulrick on September 12, 1945, and they spent 67 years together.

She was a member of the Stratford Lutheran Church. June had many interests, including gardening, sewing, cooking, fishing, and watching sports at the local school. She could often be found doing things for the young folks she knew. Her family was what brought her the most joy in her life. She also enjoyed the winters she spent in South Texas.

Junes family includes: two sons: Edwin (Gail) of Payson, AZ and Duane (Linda) of Des Moines; two grandsons Chad (Jennifer) of Des Moines, and Cory (special friend Joanne) of Des Moines; two great-grandchildren: Addison and Grace both of Des Moines; a very special person: Neil Harris; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
