Susan Textrum of Ankeny Dies

Mrs. Susan M. Textrum, 65, of Ankeny, died Sunday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital of cancer after a three-month illness.

Born in Kingsley, Mrs. Textrum had lived in Ankeny for 35 years, moving there from Des Moines. She has served as Ankeny city clerk for a number of years and had served two terms on the Ankeny School Board.

Mrs. Textrum was a member of the Ankeny P.E.O., Des Moines Women's Club, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ankeny and the Eastern Star.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with burial at South Marion Cemetery near Stratford. Surviving are her husband, Vernon; a daughter, Marilyn Textrum of Chicago, Ill.; and a brother, Charles H. Mason of Oklahoma City, Okla. The family requests memorials be made to the Iowa Cancer Foundation.
