Rose Laugerman Jones age 73 of Waconia passed away on Tuesday February 5, 2019 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Funeral Service Saturday February 9, 2019 at 1:30 P.M. at Parkside Church (9560 Paradise Lane) in Waconia with Rev. Randy Burg officiating. Visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of service at church on Saturday. Interment Lakeview Cemetery in Waconia.

Rose was born on May 27, 1945 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of John and Almira (Zust) Potras.

Rose's life was full of creativity and love for others. She cared deeply for her family and friends, and she served as a long-term caretaker for her disabled husband and daughter while working full time as a graphic designer. Rose truly loved the Bible, and she avidly engaged others in conversations about faith. Rose loved her garden, and especially her roses. Her artistic skills were reflected in her love for photos of her family and friends, as she carefully improved the original photos with her graphic arts skills. She was a bargain shopper and frugal with her resources. Rose loved the sky, clouds, and the moon, and she loved flying. Her joy in discovering new places to travel and explore took her to new adventures, and she liked to dress up and look nice. Rose shared her home with anyone who needed it, and she cherished deep, serious relationships. She was very happy her family had doubled in size with her marriage to John, and she was thrilled to have new little ones to mother and enjoy. Rose touched many lives, and she will be missed by friends and family across the globe.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband Dean Laugerman; daughter Angie Laugerman; father and mother John and Almira Potras; father-in-law and mother-in-law Harold and Lillian Laugerman; sister Loretta Braatz; nephew David McCann.

Rose is survived by her loving family: Husband John Jones; children Laura and Mark Berghuis of Zimmerman; John Laugerman and fiancee Anne Willert of St. Paul, Stephen (Jennie) Jones of Watertown, Jeannie (Steven) Paulson of Gretna, NE; grandchildren Austin Berghuis , Noah Berghuis, Johnny Laugerman, Sophia Laugerman, Rosemarie Jones, Owen Jones, William Jones, Emmeline Paulson, Evelyn Paulson; siblings Mary Ann (Jim) McCann of Gilbert, Iowa, Margaret (Robert) Konrardy of Davenport, Iowa, Frank (Janet) Potras of Apache Junction, Arizona, Mike (Linda) Potras of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Louise (Randy) Chapman of Asbury, Iowa; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Connie and Wayne Wahlert of Williams, Iowa, Duane and Jolene Laugerman of Grimes, Iowa, David and Marcia Laugerman of West Des Moines, Iowa, Daniel and Judy Jones of Leominster, Massachusetts, David and Cynthia Jones of Edmonds, Washington, Nathaniel and Kathleen Jones of Olympia, Washington; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Casket Bearers are Stephen Jones, Austin Berghuis, Noah Berghuis, Johnny Laugerman, Steven Paulson, Owen Jones.

Honorary Casket Bearers are Sophie Laugerman, Rosemarie Jones, William Jones, Emmeline Paulson, Evelyn Paulson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.

Memorial donations in memory of Rose should be made out to the Parkside Church in Waconia.
