Funeral services for Ronald Dean Peterson, 47, Ogden, are Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Stratford with Pastor Jim Mead officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 31 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Carson Funeral Home in Ogden and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the church.

Mr. Peterson died of cancer Friday, Aug. 26 at his home.

Ronald Peterson was born Jan. 16, 1958 in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Denzel I. and Helen J. (Kline) Peterson. He was raised on his parents' farm in Stratford until 1970, when the family moved to Boone. Ronald graduated from Boone High School in 1976. He lived in Muskogee, Okla., Ogden, Boxholm, and in 2001 returned to his current home in Ogden.

He married Marchelle Munson in April 1982.

Ronald was employed by Cole Grain in Muskogee, DeKalb in Boone, and was currently the owner/operator of R.D. Peterson Trucking leased to Sully Transport in Sully. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters.

Survivors include two daughters, Kristin and her husband Joshua Wilson of Boxholm, and Karrie Peterson of Boxholm; two sisters, Susan and her husband Bill Sharp of Boone, and Jan Peterson of Waterloo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Interment will be at South Marion Cemetery near Stratford.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Carson Funeral Home in Ogden is in charge of arrangements.
