Services held for Mrs. Carrie Johnson

Funeral services were held Monday, March 29, 1965 at the 1:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Williams for Mrs. Carrie Johnson who passed away March 25, at the Runn Custodial Home in Stratford where she had been a resident for six weeks. Prior to that, she was a resident at Crest View Manor in Webster City.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Des Moines, January 22, 1890, the daughter of John Henry Hanson and Carrie Erickson. She lived in Des Moines until her marriage to Albert Johnson, November 28, 1928. The couple farmed in the Stratford community until 1940 when they moved to a farm one and a half miles west of Williams.

Survivors include one son, Howard Johnson, and five grandchildren, all of Williams; one niece, Mrs. Loren Hinds of Stratford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Johnson, who was killed in a train accident about two years ago; and by one son and one daughter. Mrs. Johnson had been an invalid for about two years. She was a sister of the late Mrs. Fred Olson of Stratford. Burial was at the South Marion Cemetery near Stratford with Scott Funeral Home of Alden in charge.
