November 2, 1967A. Gustafson Dies at 82
Arthur A. Gustafson, 82, a lifelong resident of the Stanhope community, died Wednesday evening at the Hamilton County Hospital following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home with the burial being made in the South Marion Cemetery southeast of Stratford. The Rev. Enoch Hall will officiate at the services.
Arthur A. Gustafson, son of Amil and Anna Johnson Gustafson, was born Sept. 29, 1885, on a farm southwest of Stanhope. He was reared and educated in the Stanhope community.
He resided on a farm in the Stanhope vicinity until 1946, when he moved into Stanhope.
He had been employed as an electrician for the Stanhope Electric Co. and for the Farmers Co-op Telephone Exchange.
He is survived by one uncle, Fred E. Johnson of Stanhope, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
