Alice Enderson, 81, of Stanhope, died Friday, January 9, 2004 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Stanhope. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral Home, Webster City and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Alice Matilda Erickson, daughter of Nels and Clara Berglund Erickson was born March 22, 1922, at Stratford. She was raised in the Stratford community and attended rural grade school in the area. She graduated from Stanhope High School in 1940. On February 6, 1944, she married Tilford Enderson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stanhope. They farmed near Stanhope and moved into Stanhope in 1983. Alice was a homemaker who liked to bake, sew and spend time with her family. In 2001, she moved to the Stratford Care Center.

She is survived by her husband, Tilford Enderson of Stanhope, daughter and son-in-law Bethene and Paul Clark of Stanhope, grandson, Lance and wife Kelly Haman of Stratford, granddaughter, Jill Haman of Stanhope, great grandchildren, Levi, Madison, Avery and Lucy Haman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Emil, Waller and Arvid Erickson, sister, Alma Wing and grandson, Lon Haman.

Mrs. Enderson was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stanhope.
