RUTH DUECKER

Ruth Duecker, 92, Stratford, died Aug. 18, 1983, at the Boone County Hospital. She was born Aug. 21, 1890, in Sumner, the daughter of Edward and Fanny (Taft) Wentworth. She married August F. Duecker Jan. 18, 1917, at Grace M.E. Church, Waterloo.

Mrs. Duecker moved to Stratford in 1940. She was a member of Eastern Star Avon Chapter 504, of Stratford.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include a son, Hollis of Brookfield, Wis.; three grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Funeral services were Saturday at the Lutheran Church in Stratford. Burial was in the South Marion Cemetery.

Eastern Star memorial services were held at 8 p.m. Friday at the Lutheran Church.

Friends may call at the church from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of the services Saturday.

The Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
