Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, August 22, 2018

Gwen Neese, 90, long time Webster City resident, passed away at the Paula J, Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, on Friday, August 17, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Reverend Mark Eichler officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

Carol Gwendola Adams was born on February 23, 1928 in Webster City, the daughter of Carl and Eva Riley Adams. She graduated from Webster City schools. On June 2, 1946 she married Kenneth Dean Neese at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Gwen worked briefly at a local bank and became a homemaker once her children were born.

Gwen is survived by her children, Ric, Mark, Jeff and Angie, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Stella Neese. Gwen was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She took great pride in her family and enjoyed caring for and spending time with them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ken in 2013; son, Kirk; daughter, Candace; siblings, Eldon Adams, Loreen Hove, Jean Stoppelmoor, Hester Seaboch Wurch and Mildred Adams.
