DIES AT HOME IN STRATFORD

Services Will Be Held Wednesday for Clarence Neese.

Clarence Neese, 69, died last night at his home in Stratford of complications which developed following a paralytic stroke. He had been seriously ill for the past three weeks.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Stratford Baptist church, preceded by a brief service at the home at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. James Selander will officiate and burial will be in South Marion cemetery with Foster in charge.

He was the son of Martin and Lois Neese and was born Aug. 31, 1871 on a farm northeast of Stratford. He grew to young manhood there, attending the rural schools. He was married April 3, 1901, to Emily Westrum, Stratford. They lived on a farm near Stratford until 1928 when they retired and moved into Stratford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son who died in infancy, a brother and a sister. He leaves his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Archie Carlson, and a son, Clifford, both of Stratford; a sister, Mrs. J.O. Westrum, Stratford; three brothers, A.V., Stratford; Eather, Webster City; Addison, Dana, and also six grandchildren.
