Funeral services for Mrs. Alice C. Gerber, 90, will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Foster Funeral home with burial to be made at Graceland cemetery.

Pastor Jack L. Heino will officiate.

Mrs. Gerber, a longtime resident of the Kamrar and Webster City area died Thursday morning at Southfield Care Center.

Alice Cassen, daughter of Jacob and Margaret Abens Cassen, was born Sept. 2, 1886 at Camp Point, Ill. She was reared and educated at Camp Point.

As a young woman, she came to the Kamrar area and resided with her sister, Mrs. Theodore Arnold.

On June 2, 1905 she was married to Henry W. Gerber and the couple farmed in South Dakota and Iowa. The couple farmed northwest of Kamrar until 1962, when they retired and moved to Kamrar.

Mr. Gerber preceded her in death in 1955. She resided later with a son at Holstein for 14 years, then moved back to Webster City to make her home.

She is survived by two sons, Walter H. Gerber of Webster City and Arthur E. Gerber of Holstein, Iowa; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Anna Cassen of Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one brother, one sister, three half brothers and three half sisters.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.
