Larry J. Newman died peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2018, surrounded by his loving children and devoted partner, Diana Campbell. Larry was born in Webster City, Iowa on June 25, 1940. He left Iowa in 1958 to serve in the Air Force and then later graduated from the University of Maryland. He spent his career in the Washington DC area and was President of Dela Technology in Rockville, MD. Under Larry’s leadership and vision, Dela Technology tripled in both scope and size, and became one of the most respected defense contractors in the country. He was a beloved boss; fun, creative, energetic and generous, and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to call him boss, friend, neighbor or colleague.

Larry loved MGA’s, his dogs Sumo and Winston, the Caps and a good crab feast. He was married to Nicole Sarrault for 39 years and is survived by their three children Brett (Lisa) Newman, Leslie (John) Reardon, and Kevin Newman, his grandchildren Sophie, Adele, Evie, Kolton, Justin and Henley and many loving family and friends in Iowa.
