Sunshine and laughter, music and poetry, love of her husband Alan, family and Jesus. That was Arlyce. Born in rural Armstrong, Iowa on October 12, 1937 to Lester and Arlene (Larson) Knudson. She shared her early life with brother Kensel and sister Mary Ann (Glenn) Anderson. She was confirmed at Elim Lutheran Church and graduated from Randall High School. Arlyce passed on October 31, 2017 at her home peacefully surrounded by family into Jesus' waiting arms.

Arlyce married the love of her life, Alan on December 21, 1966 and together they have collected memories and friends, cars and kids. Arlyce brought her delightful smile and contagious laughter to numerous car club activities and car shows around Iowa. She enjoyed the Heckman Family Tree Farm in the summer, and Mustang Island, Texas during the winter. She loved hitting the road in the Ford truck with Alan and the dogs for travel and adventure.

Arlyce loved her family, Lisa (Jim) Peterson, Bruce, Jill (Larry) Tjernagel, Kerra (James) Swenson; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Waiting for her at Heaven's Door are her parents; brother Kensel; infant sister Marlyce; her son Kenny, and her grandson Ike R.

Our Dear Friend Will Be Missed...

A memorial service for Arlyce was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell, Iowa with Pastor Dave Nerdig officiating. A visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Creps-Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, Iowa.
