Scott Enderson, 51, of Stanhope, passed away September 28, 2016. Funeral services were at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2 at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City with a visitation starting two hours prior to the service. Graveside services were at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 3, at Lake Center Cemetery in rural Stanhope.

Scott Eugene Enderson was born November 15, 1964 to Harold and Janet (Durby) Enderson in Webster City, Iowa. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith. Scott graduated from South Hamilton High School in 1983 and then attended Iowa State University.

He farmed with his dad, and worked at the Coop in Randall, Record Printing and Becker-Underwood/BASF. He was united in marriage to Carlene Auestad. Their family increased when their two sons were born, Tanner and Ross. He enjoyed many fun-filled fishing trips to Minnesota with family and friends, golfing, weight lifting competitions and was an avid fan of Iowa State athletics.

Scott volunteered for over 10 years helping with Sunday morning worship services at Bethany Manor making sure each resident was seated in their favorite place. If you were fortunate enough to have a coveted place in the back row, you were always treated to a mint. He also remembered the staff members with treats.

He is survived by his sons, Tanner (Ashley) Enderson and Ross (friend, Rachel) Enderson; his grandsons, Mason Enderson and Carter Enderson; his mother and stepfather, Jan and Gary Handeland; his sister, Ann Marie (Scott) Ringstad; and his nephews, Brett (Kristen Tumblad) Ringstad and Matt (Kate Martin) Ringstad.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Enderson; his grandparents, Laurence and Menora Durby and Andrew and Inga Enderson; and his nephew, Jared Ringstad.

Our heartfelt thanks for all the love and support shown to us during this difficult time. May God richly bless each one of you.

Our appreciation to Bethany Manor for furnishing and serving the lunch.

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences and photos may be shared at www.soderstrumadams.com
