Services Set For 5-Year Old Tractor Victim

Funeral services for Brian Hendrickson, 5, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Hendrickson and a victim of a tractor accident late Wednesday afternoon, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Bethesda Lutheran church in Jewell.

The Rev. Enoch Hall, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran church at Stanhope and the Rev. Norbert Jolivette of Jewell will officiate with burial at Evergreen cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Becker funeral home in Jewell until the time of services.

Brian was fatally injured at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday when he fell out of a front-mounted scoop on the tractor being driven by his father. The tractor had just turned off a county road into the farmyard of the boy's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Silas Hendrickson, who reside about half a mile from the youngster's home.

Brian H. Hendrickson, son of Lars and Helen Norma Jorgenson Hendrickson, was born Nov. 8, 1959. He had attended Sunday school at Our Savior's Lutheran church.

He is survived by his parents and four brothers, Marion, Duane, Gerald and Steven; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Silas Hendrickson and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Jorgenson of Story City.
