Dale S. (Bill) Sharar, 61, died Monday enroute to the Story City Memorial hospital after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral services are pending the arrival of his son from Okinawa. Services will be held at the Williams United Methodist church, with Pastor Rev. Wayne Kamm officiating.

Burial will be made in Union Cemetery at Iowa Falls.

Visitations may be made at the Surls and Grupe Funeral chapel in Williams.

Dale S. Sharar was born Nov. 17, 1915, in Alden, the son of Fred and Daisy Saint John Sharar. He was married Nov. 30, 1938, to Dorothy E. Mittelstadt at Cedar Rapids. He farmed and operated Sharar Trucking Line at Williams for many years.

He is survived by his wife, one son Donald L. Sharar, U.S. Marine Corps, stationed in Okinawa; a sister, Mrs. Opal Sullivan of Macon, Mo., and a brother, Mike Sharar of Iowa Falls.

He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis; his prents; and one brother, Glen Sharar.
