Williams Youth Dies as Result of Car Crash

Three Other Boys Hurt in Accident Southeast of Williams

A 15-year old Williams boy died this morning at the Hamilton county hospital from injuries he received Friday evening when the car in which he was riding overturned on a county road about two miles southeast of Williams.

Dead is Dennis Roy Sharar, son of Dale (Bill) and Dorothy Mittlestadt Sharar of Williams.

Three other persons were injured in the accident. They were Gayle, 14; Russell, 11; and Allan Smith, 8, all sons of Lyle Smith of Williams.

All three are hospitalized at Ellsworth Memorial hospital at Iowa Falls where they are being treated for multiple cuts and bruises.

According to Hamilton County Deputy Sheriff Jerry Farnham, who investigated the accident, the automobile in which the boys were riding hit a frost bump on the road and was overturned in the ditch. The accident happened about 8 [unreadable] Friday evening.

The accident brought Hamilton county its third highway fatality for 1955.

The automobile, which belonged to Dale Sharar, was demolished. Driver of the car was Dennis Sharar.

Funeral services for the accident victim will be at the Methodist church in Williams with the Rev. C.C. Scott in charge. Date for the service has not been set.

Dennis Sharar was born November 28, 1939 at Iowa Falls and he had lived in the Williams community all his life. He was a member of the freshman class at Williams high school.

He was also a member of the boys' basketball team, the Williams Boosters 4-H club and the Methodist Youth Fellowship.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, F.A. Sharar of Alden and Mrs. Gertie Mittlestadt of Iowa Falls.

Sharar Rites At Williams

Funeral services for Dennis Roy Sharar, 15, of Williams, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church with Rev. C.C. Scott and Rev. A.B. Gedye officiating. Burial will be in the Iowa Falls cemetery with Robbins funeral home of Williams in charge.

The Williams high school freshman died early Saturday morning at the Hamilton county hospital following an auto accident Friday night south of Williams.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale (Bill) Sharar; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F.A. Sharar of Alden and Mrs. Gertie Mittlestadt of Iowa Falls.
