Nellie Patrou, 86, Mason City, formerly of Webster City, died Sunday, Feb. 24, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church of Transfiguration in Mason City, Rev. Joseph Mirowski officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Webster City. Visitation at the Hogan-Bremer Colonial Chapel in Mason City will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Nellie Politis, daughter of Theodore and Helen Politis, was born June 2, 1904, in Magoulina, Hortinese, Greece.

She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Pappajohn, Mason City; three sons, John Patrou, Webster City; Theodore Patrou, Somers, N.Y., and Harry Patrou, Mason City; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Peter Politis and John Politis, both of Ames, and Demetrios Politis, Greece; and two sisters, Argerie and Polixene, both of Greece.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Patrou, and a sister, Demetra.
