Our beloved mother and grandmother, Joan Adams, was called to her eternal home on January 26, 2018. Her pride and joy, her children, were by her side. Today, we celebrate her life and embrace the impact she has given on all of our lives.

Joan was born on November 18, 1920 to Blazej and Berniece Kendzior in Detroit, Michigan. At the young age of 6, she was placed in the Felician Sisters Convent Orphanage with her sister after the death of her parents. She made it her home until she was 16 years old.

She was united in marriage on June 30, 1946 to the love of her life, Eldon Adams. Happiness and love were the theme to her life. She wanted to not only fill her heart with it, but also their home. Together they accomplished that, bringing in 7 dedicated children. Imagine the chaos and busy activity on the daily norm in the Adams household, yet she ALWAYS remained with a smile. There was always enough love to be shared, whether it was to her children, grandchildren, or the children she cared for in her home over the years. You have never met a more loving, patient, and loyal woman than Joan.

Joan is survived by her 7 children; Steve (Sharon) Adams of Webster City, IA; Mike Adams of Webster City, IA; Chris (Sandy) Adams of Webster City, IA; Cindy (Mark) Weldin of Williams, IA; Marcia (John) Pahl of Webster City, IA; Carla (Lou) Montuoro of Cedar Rapids, IA; Sonya (Scott) Neuroth of Webster City, IA.
