Kevin Duane Ades, the son of Samuel and Junella (Kiesecker) Ades, was born on July 2, 1954, in Webster City, Iowa. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1972 and received an Associate of Arts degree from Iowa Central Community College.

In 2007, Kevin married Carla Babbe Welch and they made their home in Webster City.

Kevin managed Hardees in Indianola for many years before opening the Gridiron Grill and Sports Lounge in Webster City with his nephew, Burke Risetter. He volunteered for the Indianola Balloon Classic for many years, was an avid “Iowa Hawkeyes” fan – a season ticket holder for many years and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and camping with Carla. Kevin recently was able to enjoy his trips to Florida with Bill and Sheree Hoover.

Kevin passed away at his home on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the age of 63 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his wife, Carla Babbe Welch of Webster City; sons: Chad Ades and Janette of Indianola, Dan Ades and Jessica of Tampa, FL, Logan Welch and Lindsay of Webster City and Aaron Welch and Bekki of Grimes; grandchildren: Parker Ades, William, Kilian, Kylee and Brock Welch; sister, Pam Risetter and Jim of Webster City; nieces and nephews: Burke Risetter and Sarah of Webster City, Heather Stroner and Erik of Webster City and Ryan Risetter and Holly of Waterloo; and several other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Webster City with Pastor Mike Kroona officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services at the church. Foust Funeral Home, Eagle Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
