SERVICES TO BE SATURDAY

Roy C. Kiesecker, 51, Former Resident Here, Died Suddenly

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Foster funeral home for Roy Kiesecker, 51, who died Tuesday evening at Deaconess hospital, Freeport, Ill. The Christian science service will be used, burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Kiesecker, former resident of this city, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage while at his work Tuesday afternoon and never regained consciousness.

Son of Henry and Minnie Kiesecker, Roy Charles Kiesecker was born Jan. 28, 1894 in this city and received his education here. He was married at Fort Dodge Nov. 27, 1915 to Kathryn Conkling and for several years worked with his father in the carpenter trade.

For 25 years he had been employed with the Zitterell-Mills company.

He was preceded in death by his father, who died in 1937.

Surviving are his wife, four daughters and two sons - Cpl. Eugene, stationed in Hawaii; Staff Sgt. Duane, located in Italy; Junella, Julia, Carrie and Joyce, all at home. His mother, Mrs. Minnie K. Crowter, lives in this city and also one sister, Mrs. Edna Segar.

He was baptized in the Christian faith and reared in the Christian Scientist church. A friendly likeable person, Mr. Kiesecker was popular wherever he went to work on a job and was a reliable and dependable worker. His sudden death comes as a great shock to these many friends as well as to the members of the family circle.
