Richard L. Dingman, 67, died late Wednesday evening, August 10, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, where he had been a patient for the past two months. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 13 at Foster's Funeral Home, Webster City. Robert Scott officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. A graveside flag-folding ceremony will be conducted by American Legion Post 191.

Friends may call at Foster's after 5 p.m. today until time of service.

Richard Lyle Dingman, son of Albert and Martha (Lacy) Dingman, was born January 31, 1921 in Webster City, where he received his education. He served with the U.S. Army in WWII in the European Theater. He married Evelyn Marie Crouch on February 18, 1944 in Fort Dodge.

Mr. Dingman worked at several Webster City businesses, including Read Auto and Christian [Christenson?] Motors, where he was a mechanic. He retired in 1983 and continued to live at 806 Stockdale. He was preceded in death by his wife in October 1986.

He is survived by one son, Rick, of Minneapolis. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister in infancy.

Mr. Dingman was a member of the Westside Church of Christ.
