Hazel Mae Claude, 86, Webster City, died today, May 4, 1994 at Crestview Manor in Webster City. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home with the Revs. Don Ripley and Clinton Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday until time of service Friday at the funeral home.

Hazel Mae Frakes, daughter of Jesse and Idella (Koch) Frakes, was born May 3, 1908 in Hamilton County. She attended rural schools.

On Jan. 9, 1924 she married Peter Claude in Dakota City. She was a homemaker. They farmed near Woolstock until 1944 then they moved to Webster City where they resided for one year. In 1945, they moved to a farm near Williams where they made their home until 1966 when they retired and moved back to Webster City.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ordean and Marcella Claude of Webster City; daughter and son-in-law, Eulalie and Edward Hall of Monnet, Mo.; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-granddaughters; and sister, Mildred Gabrielson of Boone. She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Virgil and Forrest; daughter, Thelma in infancy; granddaughters, Vicki Paul and Melissa Claude; two brothers; and two sisters.
