N.A. WILSON, AGE 79, DIES

Had Been Resident of County 69 Years; Service at Church

Norris A. Wilson, 79, a resident of Hamilton county for 69 years, died at his home, 1206 Divison street, yesterday afternoon, following a long illness. He had been confined to his home since July.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Church of Christ with the Rev. Manson E. Miller, officiating. Burial will be made in Lawn Hill cemetery at Stanhope. Foster's in charge.

Mr. Wilson's wife died eight years ago. There are no children. He leaves to mourn his death the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Eliza Studley, of this city; Mrs. Emma Cox, of Balsam Lake, Wis.; Henry Wilson, of Duncombe; Clarence Wilson, of Stanhope; Mrs. Lawrence Reilly, of Stanhope; Mrs. O.K. Dick, of Iowa Falls, and A.W. Wilson, of Llano, Calif.

N.A. Wilson was born in Rockford, Ill., his parents being Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Wilson. When he was ten years old his parents immigrated to Iowa, making the trip in a covered wagon. On this trip Norris drove a one horse wagon all the way from Illinois to Iowa. They located in Hamilton county where Mr. Wilson grew to manhood.

For many years he farmed in the Stanhope community and in 1919 he retired from active farming and moved to Webster City. Feb. 12, 1923 he was married to Mrs. Matilda Hubbell, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Wilson was a member of the Christian church and attended services regularly as long as he was able. He also took an active interest in the farm which he owned near Stanhope, until his health failed.
