Walter A. Sigler, 64, an uncle of Mrs. Robert Gumtau of Stanhope, died this morning at the Hamilton county hospital where he had been a patient the past week.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Robert Karl Miller of Stanhope officiating and with burial in the Lawn Hill cemetery near Stanhope.

Walter A. Sigler, son of John and Mary Sigler, was born April 15, 1899 in Illinois where he was reared and educated. For many years he was employed by the Union Pacific railroad, his permanent residence being at Denver, Colo.

He is survived by one niece, Mrs. Robert Gumtau; one grand-niece, Mrs. Geryle Peterson of Ames, and great-grand-niece, Diana Peterson, and one great-grand-nephew, Jeff Peterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Mr. Sigler was baptized in the Christian faith.
