Raymond Eugene Riley was born July 28, 1885 near Kamrar, Iowa, and died February 23, 1921 at his home at Calban, Colo., at the age of 35 years, 6 months and 23 days.

He married Emma Sophia Oleson, on June 28, 1911, and to this union was born two daughters, Florence Lafern, age 8 years and Merle Albina, age 4 years. He leaves a loving wife and two daughters, a father and mother, one brother and four sisters to mourn his departure.

Raymond after marriage lived on his fathers farm north east of Stanhope until four years ago. He moved to Colorado then for his health.

Two years ago he confessed his Christ and found great satisfaction in serving him. The funeral services were held at the M.E. church at Stanhope, the church of his choice, Sunday at 2:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. G.H. Dick. He was laid to rest in Beautiful Cemetery [Lawn Hill Cemetery] of Stanhope.
