INJURY FATAL TO J.S. PHILP

Stanhope Man Hurt When Tractor Overturned Two Weeks Ago

James S. Philp, 68, died at the hospital Saturday evening at 6:45 o'clock, death following complications resulting from a compound fracture of his left leg.

Mr. Philp was injured when a tractor he was driving overturned southwest of Stanhope about two weeks ago.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Philp home, southeast of Stanhope, and at 2 o'clock at the Christian church in Stanhope with the Rev. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be made in Lawn Hill cemetery, south of Stanhope. Foster's, of this city, in charge.

Mr. Philp leaves his wife [Mina Snyder], and three children, Leo, of Jewell; Mrs. Lawrence Hanson, of Stanhope, and Donald. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Eli Axon, of Goldfield, Mrs. Lizzie Wilson, of Jewell, and Mrs. Bessie Snyder, of Nevada.

Mr. Philp was a farmer and had lived in the Stanhope community for the past 30 years.
